The suite concludes with a 4th movement whose length is 19:18. Beginning with the African-American spiritual, "Train is a'Comin'," this extended improvisation was performed live in concert as a solo piano piece and then later orchestrated with synthesizer (as were the first two movements). The musical styles in this movement incorporate classical, folk, gospel and jazz and explore the quality of perseverance.
